EMS Synthi AKS (Serial 45242.KS)
One owner from new EMS Synthi AKS for sale in very clean condition indeed. A rare chance to buy an excellent fully-serviced one owner example of this iconic synth.
This is a preorder - it will be supplied freshly overhauled and in perfect working order. The cosmetic condition is excellent, especially the face/keyboard (the case has some scuffs/scratches and oxidation to the catches) as you'd expect from a low use one-owner synth. The stickers will be carefully removed from the KS section.
The original owners purchased this new from Peter Zinovieff in person from the EMS premises in London (together with a Synthi A and HiFli). They were used extensively by husband and wife Michael and Carole Wade to record music in their home in the north east of England as Octoepus.
Michael sadly passed away at the begining of the yearCarole and her son, Ash, brought these to us last week together with the Synthi A (now sold) and a boxed Roland System 100 Model 104 Sequencer. All had been sitting in cupboard for many years though sadly Michael didn't get on with the Synthi HiFli so it was taken to the local tip about 30 years ago!
