IBANEZ OD-855 OVERDRIVE II
Very rare vintage Ibanez Overdrive II pedal for sale in excellent working order and exceptional cosmetic condition. An early predecessor of the TS-808 Tube Screamer, this fantastic-sounding pedal seems to cover a lot of bases, from a thickening overdrive up into almost Big Muff territory but with a smoother top end. A really great overdrive/fuzz pedal - organic and warm - a hard one to part with...
It's very unusual to find a 'Flying Fingers' script logo pedal in this condition: aside from a very neatly-added resistor on the circuitboard (possible factory improvement or later mod?) everything's original, even the battery clip (see detailed photos).
It ships with a new Duracell Procell battery installed so it's ready to play. Everything works as it should - no scratchy pots or dodgy jack sockets (it is always possible that some crackle may develop over time when not used - this should disappear with a couple of turns of the pot – this pedal is currently crackle-free). It has lots of scuffs and scratches as you'd expect from a pedal that's over 30 years old - serious mojo here.
