Kimbara FY-2 Fuzz Box
A nice example of an Kimbara FY-2 Fuzz Box pedal for sale in perfect working order. Late 60s or early 70s.
Comes with the original box and manual. Unmodified.
Snarls and spits like a wildcat! Sounds absolutely monstrous - think Jack White, Black Keys, Radiohead...
The Shin-ei fuzzes were also famously-abused by eighties wall-of-noisemongers The Jesus And Mary Chain among many others but they're capable of far more, creating some very classy 60's fuzz sounds.
Once-cheap, Japanese fuzzes from the 60s/70s have aged well and are now very sought-after.
Condition is very good with just some minor scratches on the front panel and wear the corners. Click on the photos to zoom in.
Serviced and in good working order - no crackly pots or noisy switch issues.
(Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used - even during shipping - this can usually be easily rectified either by use or with a bit of switch-cleaning spray)
